A Health-Oriented Approach to Your Body

Marianne and Martin are trained physiological massage therapists. This means we do not just provide relaxing massage, but work targeted with the body's anatomy and physiology. We combine various advanced techniques to relieve your specific pain and tension.

Technique #1

Myofascial Release (MFR)

Treatment of tight connective tissue. Effective for conditions such as shin splints, carpal tunnel syndrome, and fibromyalgia.

Myofascial Release works with the body's connective tissue (fascia). Through slow, sustained pressure and stretching, tightness in the connective tissue is released, restoring mobility and relieving chronic pain.

Trigger Point Treatment
Technique #2

Trigger Point Treatment

Targeted treatment of tender points in the muscles that can cause radiating pain or tension headaches.

A trigger point is a hyper-irritable spot in a tight muscle band that can refer pain to other areas of the body. With precise, static pressure, the point is released so the muscle can relax again.

Technique #3

Muscle Energy Technique (MET)

Neuromuscular technique to reduce muscle tension in collaboration with the client.

Muscle Energy Technique is an active form of treatment where the client gently contracts a muscle against the therapist's resistance. After a brief contraction, the muscle relaxes, allowing for further stretching and increased mobility.

Joint Mobilization and Oscillation
Technique #4

Joint Mobilization and Oscillation

Techniques to improve joint mobility and provide pain relief for restricted joints.

Joint Mobilization consists of gentle, rhythmic movements (oscillations) of the joints, stimulating synovial fluid, improving joint play, and relieving pain. We perform no high-velocity adjustments or cracking.

Tailored Treatment for Your Body

Regardless of which technique is chosen, the treatment is always adapted to you and your pain threshold.
